Marty Fullard brings to the drum set over four decades of experience. Age five, Marty began playing along to John Bonham and Led Zeppelin's "Since I've Been Loving You." Fullard second biggest influence was a little later, age eight, Billy Cobham and his "Funky Thide Of Sings." Fullard knew from a very early age that drumming was his passion. Age ten, in grade school he began "drum teaching," informal lessons for wanna-be Keith Moon's. A a high school student, Marty saw 'one of his students' suffer extreme stage anxiety which consequently led to his student dropping his sticks and becoming like ' a deer caught in headlights.' Marty knew from that moment that he wanted to help drummers not only overcome anxiety, but to develop technique. Having always had a passion for the American Rudiments, Marty combined both the rudiments and his love with sticking technique and coaches drummers of all ages and abilities. Marty studied the Moeller technique from Jim Chapin, as a consequence he majors on technique and correct development. Such attention to detail has seen him coach and mentor thousands of prestigious drummers. Fullard also coaches and mentors other drum teachers mostly through Professional Drum Teachers Guild. Marty Fullard is passionate about drum education and for his students to develop a a life time of passion for drums, The motivating factor for all forms of drumming should be fun and enjoyment.
